These laws covered the expenses for the Event's preparatory activities and financed part of the Event's costs. They also established that the Region's partners are PromoTurismoFVG and Area Science Park. Regional Law of June 9, 2022, No. 8, Article 62 «1. The Regional Administration is authorized to present the candidacy of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Autonomous Region as the hosting entity for the "Big Science Business Forum – BSBF 2024," an international event of a congress and exhibition nature taking place every two years as a meeting point between large research infrastructures (Big Science organizations) and industry, identifying the city of Trieste as the most suitable venue to host it. 2. The Regional Administration makes use of PromoTurismoFVG for activities related to the congress aspects, including the acquisition of spaces and equipment and the promotional part, given the tourism value of the initiative and its expected economic impact on the tourism sector.» Regional Law of November 7, 2022, No. 15, Article 7, Paragraph 49 «49. The Regional Administration is authorized to provide a multi-year extraordinary funding to the Trieste Science and Technology Research Area – Area Science Park, as a partner in the project proposal selected as the winner of the candidacy for the "Big Science Business Forum – BSBF 2024," to cover the increased personnel costs and, secondarily, to support part of the direct costs for the preparation and realization of the initiative.» General Introduction
